The final day..

I awoke to a beautiful sunrise and prepared for a leisurly 6 hour drive to my final destination Sioux Falls. As I began driving I noticed that I was rather tired from the onset. The last time I had made this voyage I had done it in two very long days. This extra nights sleep seemed to have affected me and made me more tired. Yes, this seems weird but so am I. I was quickly out of Wisconsin and began my way through Minnesota. I have to mention that the border between Wisconsin and Minnesota has to be one of the most beautiful that you will come across. Crossing the Mississippi and all its majestic beauty. A site to be seen...

So on through Minnesota I go. Another long drive through a state. Pennsylvania and Minnesota never seem to end as you drive through them. Just mile after mile of farm country. I received a call from my father in-law asking where I was. They were in town at a doctor's appointment and wondered if we could meet up for lunch. I unfortunatley knew I would not be into town until 2:00pm. He let me know we would still get together so I pressed on to make it to the finish line.
I finally made it to Sioux Fall, the best little city in the US. Seeing the welcome to Sioux Falls sign made me feel like a job well done on completing this long journey. Three days and nearly 1700 miles.

I met up with the folks for a quick chat and it was off to my new home away from home for a good nights sleep. Prior to the journey we had debated on renting an apartment or looking at an extended stay hotel. I chose the extended stay. No first and last month rent due, no lease to sign just pay on a weekly basis. I have my own kitchenette, yes, I can cook and a place where I can put all my stuff down. They have weekly cleaning of the rooms and furniture, cable TV and a kitchen. If I had chosen an apartment I would have no TV, no furniture so this seemed to be a wise choice. I am close to my new job and close to shopping etc.

From here on I will blog about the adventures in Sioux Falls. Stayed tuned for more.
