So I have finally made it to Sioux Falls. 3 days of travel that was actually quite uneventful.
Well here are some tidbits from the road. Day 1 began on Sunday the 20th. As I finished packing up the car and going back into the house for the final time Cindy noticed a praying mantis on the front door. Now was this a sign of things to come or just a coincidence. I carefully removed it off the door and onto the shrub next to the door so it could be free.
Day 1 of the drive consisted of a peaceful 8 hour drive through, RI, NY, NJ and ending in Clarion, PA. It was amazing to see the transformation in drivers once I hit Pennsylvania. The idiots were clearly out until I hit the PA border then a calmness hit the roadways and my anxiety level dropped and the grip on my steering wheel was loosened. 8 hours of driving led me to 520 miles driven for the day. With day one complete I settled into the Holiday Inn and rested for Day two.
